2010 Spring: Furniture Construction

From 1959 until 2002 I worked in San Francisco as a freelance photographer and as a contract photographer for the Unified School District, the Legion of Honor, the Fine Arts Museum, and the Asian Art Museum.

 

When in 2003 I retired to Lake County, I pursued my interest in painting, joined the Konocti Plein Air Painters and wrote a memoir of my experience growing up in Nazi Germany. After Barack Obama amazed me by winning the election in 2008, I decided to reactivate my photography business. The flying carpet image, above left, was sent as a self promotional mailer to my clients in 1961.
